Jason Fuchs ’09

Jason Fuchs ’09 is the co-creator, co-showrunner and executive producer of the upcoming HBO Max series IT: Welcome to Derry. The nine-episode series, a prequel to the horror films based on Stephen King’s novel It, will premiere this fall.


Investigative journalist and Class Day 2025 speaker Jodi Kantor ’96 wrote the June 15 New York Times article “How Amy Coney Barrett Is Confounding the Right and Left.” Kantor, who was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 2018, has spent the last three years reporting on the Supreme Court.

Dr. Henry Buchwald ’54, VPS’57

Also on June 15, Dr. Henry Buchwald ’54, VPS’57, Professor Emeritus of surgery and biomedical engineering at the University of Minnesota, was honored with an event that recognized his profound impact on the fields of metabolic and bariatric surgery, surgical innovation, mentorship and global healthcare. The tribute included discussions with several speakers as well as a dinner and reception.


Actress and writer Amanda Peet ’94 co-starred alongside Jon Hamm in the Apple TV series Your Friends & Neighbors. The first season of the dark comedy had its finale on May 30; a second season is expected to premiere in spring 2026.

John Zeisel ’65, GSAS’71 was honored on April 11 with a Pinnacle Thought Leader Award from McKnight’s Long-Term Care News for his leadership in health care. Zeisel is the founder and CEO of the I’m Still Here Foundation, which supports the development and design of programs to enhance the lives of people living with dementia.
