Students represent Columbia College in numerous academic committees that oversee curriculum maintenance and requirements. Committee involvement ranges from approving changes, reviewing courses and recommending additions to a curriculum to approving proposals for majors and other academic programs. The Educational Policy and Planning Committee coordinates the work of the major curriculum committees of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and for advising and making recommendations to PPC and the Executive Vice President for Arts and Sciences on matters of educational policy and planning.
