The Columbia College Alumni Association presents the Alexander Hamilton Award — the College's highest honor — to an alumnus or Columbia faculty member each fall, for distinguished service and accomplishment in any field of endeavor.
Conrad H. Lung '72 has been selected by the Columbia College Alumni Association Selection Committee as the 2009 recipient of the Alexander Hamilton medal.
Lung, a devoted alumnus, has served on the Board of Visitors and was named the 2008-2009 chair, International Outreach, for the Columbia College Alumni Association. In 2002, he was the first Asian American to receive a John Jay Award for distinguished professional achievement. Lung was a founder of the Asian Columbia Alumni Association, was the group's first president and has lobbied to make Asia a College destination for recruitment, fundraising and alumni relations.
