“Over the years I have met and been inspired by alumni of all backgrounds, many who like me could not have attended Columbia College without financial aid. My wife, a Barnard graduate, and I want other students to have similarly great educational opportunities and hope to inspire fellow alumni like ourselves to continue this tradition of service.”

“I am truly honored to have received the Black Alumni Council Scholarship. I chose to attend Columbia College because I was greatly interested in its beliefs. I looked at the Core Curriculum in awe and knew that it would provide a strong foundation in regards to my intellectual endeavors. I also chose to attend Columbia College because of its relationship with the city of New York. I have had the opportunity to go to the Met and the Museum of Natural History with my Core classes, experiences that I would not be able to have if I decided to attend a different university.”
