Courtney Lilly, who renewed his overall deal with ABC Signature in 2020, has been with the Studio, part
of Disney Television Studios, for eight years. He recently wrapped showrunning the eighth and final
season of “black-ish,” as well as the fifth season of “grown-ish.” “Black-ish” has been nominated for four
Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy as has won four NAACP Image Awards for Best Comedy Series.
Courtney started his career as a writer on “Arrested Development” and has written for shows such as “My
Boys,” “The Cleveland Show,” and “Undateable.” He won a Nickelodeon Writing Fellowship in 2000.
Before that, he was a reporter for the Providence Journal-Bulletin.
Raamla Mohamed is the Creator, Executive Producer and Showrunner for Onyx Collective’s first scripted
series “Reasonable Doubt,” currently on Hulu. The nine-episode legal drama was produced by Larry
Wilmore as well as Kerry Washington who directed the pilot.
Raamla started her career as a fellow in the Disney/ABC Writing Program. As a writer on the show
“Scandal,” she penned eleven episodes for the series, including the seventh-season crossover episode
with “How To Get Away with Murder.” Following her Shondaland tenure, Raamla was a Writer/Co-
Executive Producer on Hulu’s Emmy-nominated “Little Fires Everywhere.” Her projects in development
include a feature for Amazon, a pilot for HBO with Issa Rae, a romantic comedy feature for Universal
Pictures with Blackmaled Productions, and a comedy feature for Amblin starring Tiffany Haddish. Raamla
graduated from Columbia University and received her MFA from USC.
Chris Maddox recently served as Writer/Producer for CW’s soap “Dynasty” after coming from ABC’s hit
drama “A Million Little Things” and Fox’s “Monarch.” He got his break staffing on the CBS series “Bull”
and is a graduate of Paramount’s Writers Mentoring Program. As a teenager, he left a lower-class black
neighborhood in Ohio to attend boarding school in an affluent white community in Massachusetts.
Growing up between these two diverse worlds influences Chris’s writing and informs his unique
perspective on the world. He studied at Columbia University’s MFA program in Acting.
