Right now, the world feels daunting with the realities of a pandemic coupled with the unrest in our communities as we stand up against systemic racism. It is also daunting on a personal level, as you are experiencing the major life change of graduating and leaving the place where you’ve spent the last four years.
The CCAA’s mission is to be here for you and to connect you to meaningful opportunities. Here are five ways to take advantage of the CCAA’s offerings and services as you move forward.
1. Odyssey Mentoring Program
Thousands of Columbia College alumni have raised their hand to be a resource for you through Odyssey. This community has vast work/life experience and is ready and willing to share.
Join Odyssey to search for and connect to alumni through the easy messaging tool. You can ask to chat by email, over the phone or via video! If you prefer that we give you a hand in making a connection, watch your inbox for a special Mentor Match program in early July.
Create your Odyssey profile today.
2. Special 2020 Programs and Events
A series of alumni panels and small-group chats have been developed just for new grads.
Stay updated on upcoming events and programs by checking your email and following us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Mark your calendar with events of interest!
3. Center for Career Education (CCE)
If you are just getting started or continuing to work on your career search, CCE continues to offer individual career counseling services, curated events, resume help and so much more.
4. Columbia College Young Alumni (CCYA) and Columbia College Women (CCW)
CCYA and CCW are communities within the greater CCAA that help you connect with alumni who share a common experience. These groups are here to help you build a network, reconnect with friends and have a little fun once in a while. You can stay in the loop on upcoming events through the CCYA and CCW Facebook pages.
5. Staying Connected
The CCAA will help you stay connected to the College, classmates and friends with events and programs throughout the year, including annual reunions. Make sure we have your primary email address, and watch for event invitations throughout the year.
The Columbia Alumni Directory will also help you stay connected with alumni from around the University. It allows you to search by name, class year, location, company name and more. When you update your profile, others can reach you, too.
You’ll also receive the alumni magazine, Columbia College Today (CCT), which features alumni and faculty profiles, Class Notes and campus news, plus regularly updated online content.
