The Columbia Lion Dragons, sponsored by the Asian Columbia Alumni Association (ACAA), is a dragon boat racing team that was established in 2014 and composed of Columbia graduates. Team members come from different industries and countries but share a love of dragon boating. Every summer, the team races in the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival held in Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, NY. This year, the Dragon Boat Festival will be held on August 9th and 10th. This free family friendly festival will have two days of dragon boat racing along with multicultural dance and music performances, arts & crafts, and international food options.
