Passing the baton from one generation of civil rights activists to the next: A conversation between Dr. Clarence B. Jones '53, speechwriter, strategic advisor and legal counsel to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Chelsea Miller '18, co-founder of Freedom March NYC and Women Everywhere Believe. Dr. Jones, one of the authors behind the I Have a Dream speech, and Miller, a rising star of civil rights activism, will reflect on the 2020 U.S. presidential election and discuss how the results impact the country's future and the continued fight for racial justice and equality in America. Moderated by Riley Jones, IV '17, president of Columbia's Black Alumni Council. Join these inspirational activists from two crucial generations and moments in history for an inspiring and empowering evening.
