Attend a special conversation on the three-time New York Emmy-nominated short documentary Her Fight, His Name: The Story of Gwen Carr and Eric Garner.

Filmed across six years, the film offers a powerful, intimate portrait of Gwen Carr — mother of Eric Garner — as she continues her courageous fight for justice in the wake of her son’s death. Co-produced by Jered Everson CC’19 and Deanna Cuadra CC’20, who also wrote it, and directed by Brad Bailey GSAS’19, Her Fight, His Name brings audiences into Carr’s home and struggle, highlighting both her grief and her unyielding perseverance.

The conversation will be moderated by Everson and will offer behind-the-scenes insights into the making of the film, its impact and the ongoing fight for justice and reform.

This event is sponsored by Columbia College Women. All Columbia College alumni and students are invited to this free event.
