Senior Dinner Welcomes the Class of 2018 as College Alumni

Senior Dinner 2018

Denis Gostev

On May 1, as part of the finale of their College experience, approximately 900 soon-to-be alumni from the Class of 2018 gathered on South Lawn for a formal dinner with classmates, alumni leaders and Dean James J. Valentini. The dinner was sponsored by the Columbia College Alumni Association. This annual celebration welcomes soon-to-be former students to the College alumni community and to the next phase of their College journey. Columbia College Student Council President Nathan Rosin ’18 welcomed the crowd, followed by brief remarks from Valentini. Maya Ho ’18 and Sara Sakowitz ’18 announced that the Senior Fund had received gifts from 38% percent of class, a significant increase over years past. Senior Dinner co-chairs Vik Kapur ’18, Starly Sofia Santos ’18 and Charlotte Silk ’18 closed the presentation with congratulations to the class. Students enjoyed a sit-down dinner, singing by the Clefhangers and a slideshow of their College experience. The class will reconvene next week at Class Day, on Tuesday, May 15, 2018.
