TESTIMONIALS

"The IMC's fellowship provides the best possible introduction to the professional world of finance for any freshman interested in the space. I came into the internship wanting to learn as much as possible, but I couldn't have imagined the exposure I received throughout the internship. From day one, the people on the IMC's investment team went out of their way to guide us on understanding different asset classes. The IMC fellowship also exposed me to the language of finance. Overall, I am grateful for the effort that CCAA and IMC put into making this internship such a holistic and meaningful experience."
Sophia Bassi, CC’28
"I had an amazing experience as an IMC Fellow, where I was exposed to a wide range of asset classes and investment strategies and participated on calls with some of the largest funds in the world. The team at the IMC was always supportive and committed to helping me learn more about endowment management. I know that the guidance and mentorship I received will continue to shape my growth as I navigate the finance industry, and am grateful to have been given such a transformative opportunity so early on in my career."
Grace Frascati, CC’25
"My fellowship at the IMC was such an exciting and career-shaping experience. I walked in with so many misperceptions and curiosities about endowment management, and I walked out knowing that buy-side finance is where I want to end up. Over the summer, I was spoiled with the best team, who genuinely cared about my learning and career path. I am certain that I will remain in touch with many of my colleagues as I navigate the years to come. In addition, I had the chance to connect with the women of CCW, who motivated and supported me throughout the entire process. This fellowship surpassed all expectations I had, and I sincerely recommend it to anyone with even the slightest interest in this space."

"I am so grateful for my time at Columbia's Endowment as an intern working on the investment team. The industry experience I gained and knowledge over the course of the ten week internship will be invaluable and I am so thankful to have gained this exposure so early in my career."
Vanessa Ajualip Hernandez, CC'25
"Having not ever had any experience in finance, this internship was a great opportunity to dive into finance. I absolutely loved my experience this summer. Not only does the IMC have a phenomenally talented team, they are the perfect fit to teach freshman about endowment management. Everyone on the team was open and welcoming, and it allowed me to feel more comfortable asking questions and learning. I learned about the structures within finance and endowment management, but I also got insight into our partnerships with firms. I loved being able to sit in on meetings and learn about new firms, but also see how we continue to develop relationship with our LPs. I truly enjoyed working on my capstone project for EMIF as I had never learned anything about healthcare and investments prior to this summer.
This internship allowed me access to a new career field I am now considering pursuing before law school. Although I am not 100% committed to this, it made me have an open mind to the world of finance. I cannot thank the CCW and IMC enough for allowing me this opportunity and I truly hope it is a program that is continuously offered to freshman in the future."
Jay Kantamneni, CC'27
"The IMC Fellowship was incredibly insightful on a professional and personal level. As a freshman, the world of finance seemed confusing and overwhelming, despite my interest and curiosity for the field. Through hands-on work, discussion, and a sense of community within the office, I was given the support and guidance necessary to shape my goals and make them achievable. I am grateful for the summer and recommend this opportunity to anyone seeking to learn more about finance."
Semi Obayomi, CC'27
"My experience in the IMC fellowship was enriching and eye-opening. Having little prior knowledge about finance, this time allowed me to broaden my perspective on the possibility of pursuing a career in this industry. Throughout the summer, I was able to grow on both professional and personal scales, specifically from hands-on experiences and those in my talented and supportive team. Overall, I’m so grateful for my experience and the opportunity to grow and learn in an encouraging environment."
Dominic Onyedeke, CC'26
"Having no prior finance experience going into this internship, I felt quite intimidated. However, it didn't take long for my worries to dissipate as everyone on the team was incredibly understanding. They were always willing to take time out of their day to help me understand any aspect of their ongoing work which I sincerely appreciated. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such brilliant and outgoing people. Furthermore, I had the chance to sit in on meetings with managers from different asset classes and that gave me an unreal insight into how many firms are structured. It gave me the perfect introductory exposure to the world of finance that I craved and has prepared me for future finance internships."
