Friday, October 18

Dinner with Roar-ee on South Lawn
Time: 5:00–8:00 p.m.
Location: Butler Lawn
*Ticket Required*

Kick off Homecoming Weekend back on campus with a casual outdoor dinner on South Lawn for students and alumni. Gather on the lawns by Butler Library to eat with friends, meet current students and hear what the College experience is like today. Enjoy John Jay Dining today with halal gyro, Italian sausage and peppers, stir-fry and more, as well as desserts and beverages.

Price: $25 per person

Saturday, October 19

Homecoming Fest: Games and Activities for all Ages!

Time: 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Location: Softball Field, Baker Athletics Complex, 533 W. 218th St.

Family Friendly!

Spend your afternoon with classmates and enjoy a seasonal buffet lunch including finger foods, desserts and a cash bar. Reminisce about your Columbia experience, see fellow alumni, bring your family and enjoy this autumn tradition. Test your skills at cornhole and giant Jenga, swing through the new Beer Garden section or enjoy food and drinks while picking up swag and seeing old friends.

Lunch and bar will close at 2:00 p.m.

  • Young Alumni 2010-2019: $15
  • Columbia University Student: $10
  • Child (12 and under): $10

The first 100 young alumni to purchase a ticket to Saturday's lunch will receive one free drink ticket courtesy of Columbia College Young Alumni.

Thursday, October 17

Roar, Lion, Roar: A Celebration of Columbia Football Panel

Time: Panel Discussion, 6:00–7:00 p.m.; Reception, 7:00–8:30 p.m.
Location: Butler Library

To mark the official opening of "Roar, Lion, Roar: A Celebration of Columbia Football," an exhibit in the Rare Book & Manuscript Library's Chang Octagon, a moderated panel will discuss the arc of Columbia football from its inception in 1870 to the present day. The discussion is being held in conjunction with the 150th anniversary of the establishment of college football, and panelists will include former Columbia players and staff. Organized by the University Archives, the event will end in a reception on the Library's sixth floor, where panelists and audience members can see the exhibit and mingle.

Columbia Field Hockey vs. Penn

Notes and Keys Concert

Time: 8:00–8:45 p.m.
Location: Alfred Lerner Hall, Room 555

Enjoy this mid-semester concert where singers will be dressed in themed costumes.
Paid tickets are not required, but we encourage guests to register.

Conclude your evening with other College alumni at this classic Columbia haunt.

Saturday, October 19

Archery Clinic

Time: 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Location: Soccer Field (entrance is at the far right corner of the Softball Field)
Ages 10 and up

Learn how to shoot an arrow from the Columbia Archery Team, seven-time National Champions, coached by Derek Davis. Sign up will take place day-of at the alumni lunch registration area.

Black Alumni Council (BAC) Homecoming
Time: 8:00–10:00 p.m.
Location: High Bar, 346 W. 40th St.

This festive evening will be an opportunity for the Black Lion family to come together to celebrate our community, learn how to get involved and have a great time with new and old Columbia friends.

The evening includes hors d'oeuvres, open bar, music and dancing at High Bar, a rooftop lounge in midtown Manhattan. BAC Homecoming attendees will be welcome to stay at High Bar without an additional entrance fee.
