Message from the CCW President — Spring 2025

Nancy Pak CC’90, BUS’95

Dear Columbia College Women,

“I don’t have solutions … I do have hope.” I have found myself sharing this sentiment recently to stay positive, to focus on where I can make a difference and to look ahead to more joyful days. While I don’t know exactly when or how our broader community will reach a brighter path, I know we are stronger together.

I am fortunate to have you, the inspiring Columbia College Women community, to lean in with as we execute our mission to amplify women’s voices. My time at Columbia was not only a critical period of learning, but also one of discovering myself through lifelong friendships made with women who supported my personal and professional growth, and who remain a central part of my extended family. It’s one of the main reasons I wanted to honor Columbia by serving CCW and contributing to the impact we have.

We’ve held several amazing events for students and alumnae in recent weeks including Lunch & Learn at The New York Times, International Women’s Day events in London and Dallas, an author series and industry-based panels.

One of the best ways we honor and celebrate women is through our annual CCW Signature Event, held in person on the Morningside campus. This year, CCW is hosting a C-level leadership panel conversation on Thursday, April 17th, 5:30–8:30 p.m., themed “A View from the Top: Women Navigating Leadership and Change.”

I hope you will join me, the CCW Board, fellow alumni and students for the Signature Event, which will feature a networking reception after the panel. Please feel free to share the event link with fellow alumnae, as well as with any non-Columbia family, friends and colleagues. In addition to our Signature Event, we have many other informative and enriching events planned!

If you’d like to get involved in planning programs for the CCW community, please let us know. Staying connected and supporting each other is so important, now more than ever. Please let me know if you have any questions or have any ideas for CCW. I want to hear from you and learn how I and CCW at large can support you.

With deep gratitude,
