Pilling has served as Vice President for IMG College, a marketing company which manages corporate sponsorships for athletics conferences and universities, since 2007. Prior to that, he was Senior Associate Athletics Director at Brigham Young University and Associate Athletics Director at Villanova University.

Endowed with solid fundamental skills and footwork, in October he captured the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Regional singles title for the second consecutive year.

Head Football Coach Pete Mangurian resigned on December 5 following three losing seasons at Columbia and two weeks after President Lee C. Bollinger commissioned a review of Columbia’s football program by consultant Rick Taylor.

This year’s event took place on October 29 and more than 1,200 College-related donors — comprising alumni, parents, students, staff and friends — contributed a record-breaking total of $3.09 million, a passionate show of support to continuing to build the best undergraduate experience for our students.
