Columbia College mourns the loss of Wm. Theodore de Bary CC’41, GSAS’53, who entered Columbia College as a scholarship student in 1937 and spent close to 70 years at Columbia, having become a professor and also having served as provost.

Rep. Beto O'Rourke CC’95 to Challenge Ted Cruz for Senate Seat

All eyes are on Rep. Beto O’Rourke CC95 (D-Texas)  who is from El Paso and trying to unseat Sen. Ted Cruz (R). Having earned an English literature degree from the College, O’Rourke is noted for already pulling off two upsets, the first to become a city councilman, and the second, and more important, in his 2012 congressional victory against Silvestre Reyes (D-Texas), a 16-year incumbent.

A Rollicking Good Time at Reunion 2017

More than 5,000 alumni and friends from across Columbia’s four undergraduate schools — including 1,600 Columbia College alumni — returned to Morningside Heights for Reunion 2017 held June 1-4. Attendees joined from near and far … as far away as Switzerland, Pakistan and Japan!
